Digital files only

Knarb Makes sells downloadable design files. No printed part, printer, material or hardware is shipped. Each product page lists the included files, dimensions and known limitations. Prices are in USD; any applicable tax and the final amount appear in checkout.

Personal-use license

All kits are licensed for personal, non-commercial builds only. Selling prints or sharing or reselling the digital files is not included. You may adapt the files for your personal builds, but may not redistribute or sublicense original or modified files. Copyright remains with the designer.

Contact Knarb Makes to request an exception.

These terms apply to new downloads. Earlier purchases retain the permissions granted with their original license.

Delivery and access

Earlier itch.io purchases remain available through itch.io and do not automatically appear in Knarb Makes’s My files. These delivery instructions apply to purchases completed directly through Knarb Makes.

Downloads become available in My files after Knarb Makes verifies your payment. Guest purchases stay accessible in the original browser; save a private recovery code from My files to restore access on another device. You can optionally connect Google or create an email account after purchasing to access those files on another device. If a payment is still processing, use Check payment in your library. Download and keep your own backup; perpetual hosting is not promised.

Keep your recovery code private. Anyone with it can restore your guest library. Creating a new code invalidates the old code, but does not sign out browsers that already restored access. If both the browser session and recovery code are lost, contact support with proof of purchase. Automatic recovery emails are not currently available.

For verified purchases, we also email a private link to the checkout email address. It grants access to that order for 30 days, without signing in. Keep it private and save a copy of your files. Purchase-delivery emails do not subscribe you to marketing.

Connecting an account requires access to the original guest browser or a valid recovery code. Matching an email address alone does not transfer purchases. Account sign-in uses Firebase Authentication; email accounts require email verification. Account sessions last up to five days, while guest access can remain available longer in the same browser.

Prototype editions

Products marked prototype have the specific limitations stated on their product pages. Printer, material, scaling and slicer choices affect the result. Inspect dimensions and test a small print before committing to a larger build. Machine-specific G-code is not included.

Purchase help and refunds

If a file is missing, corrupted, duplicated in a purchase, or materially different from its description, contact Knarb Makes with your order number. We will review the issue and arrange a corrected file or an appropriate refund. A refunded or disputed payment may pause download access. These policies do not limit rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Your information

We measure optional store visits with a random identifier kept in this browser tab for up to 30 minutes. A separate first-party cookie, __Host-augurn-browser, lasts up to 90 days and lets us count repeat browsers across tabs and visits. We store a hash of that random browser identifier, not your IP address. It is not used to sign you in or identify a person. We record public page paths, product views, gallery and build-video clicks, free-download requests, cart actions, and whether that session led to a verified purchase. We do not send names, email addresses, file contents, full referring URLs or browser fingerprints to this measurement system. We also record only the hostname of the referring site to distinguish search traffic, referrals and direct visits; we do not collect search terms or the referring page’s path or query. Known operator and test accounts, marked test orders and identifiable bots are excluded from marketing reports. Exclusion records contain a browser hash, not an email address. Optional browser and session measurement respects Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control and the preference below. Turning measurement off deletes the browser cookie and tab identifier and stops future optional events; previously collected records are not erased by this switch. Hosting providers may separately retain request logs to operate the service. Campaign attribution attached to a purchase is recorded separately.

With optional measurement enabled, public store pages also send product-analytics events and a session replay to PostHog (PostHog Inc., United States), the same analytics service If Worlds Collide uses; each event is labelled with this store so the two sites are reported separately. Events cover page views, product, gallery, cart and checkout actions, and chosen tip amounts. Session replay records page layout and clicks with every form field and form text masked, so typed emails, messages and amounts are not captured. PostHog is not loaded on account, library, download-link, contact or admin pages, and URLs are sent without their query strings or fragments. PostHog keeps its identifier in this browser’s local storage, not in a cookie. Like any web service it receives your IP address with each request; we tell it not to keep the address as an event property, though it may use it to estimate an approximate location. When a purchase is verified, the store sends PostHog the products, total and campaign for that order under a one-way coded buyer identifier, never your name, email, address or payment details. Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control and the preference above stop PostHog in this browser as well.

To limit automated catalog abuse, our MCP service temporarily uses a keyed hash of the network address reported by our hosting proxy. IPv6 addresses are grouped by network prefix. These counters expire after five minutes of inactivity, stay in server memory and are not joined to marketing or customer records. Proxy addresses may be shared by several visitors. The service also applies aggregate and concurrent-request limits.

Our public MCP connection exposes only product and policy information. Catalog tool calls do not create customer accounts, orders or human-visitor analytics events. Links returned to assistants use our normal campaign attribution when a person opens them; they appear as AI-agent referrals. We do not collect assistant conversations or prompts for marketing. Hosting providers may retain technical request logs. AI referral labels describe the originating link or referring site, not proof of a particular assistant or person.

When you follow a campaign link, we record the campaign, destination and time. With measurement enabled, a random link identifier and expiry are kept in this browser’s local storage as augurn-campaign for up to 30 days. The most recent valid campaign can receive credit for a later purchase, including a different product. The individual click identifier is removed from the visible product URL after capture so copying that URL does not reuse your click. These records contain no browser fingerprint or IP address. No advertising cookies or advertising pixels are used; the only third-party analytics service is PostHog, described above.

Turning measurement off also clears that stored campaign and saves an opt-out preference in our secure first-party session cookie, so future short-link visits and checkout attribution can respect it. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control also stop optional attribution. Verified purchases still remain transaction records and contribute to total sales; they are not treated as test orders because a buyer opted out.

Knarb Makes uses an essential, secure cookie for guest cart and download access, with up to a one-year lifetime. Only a hash of the guest credential is stored in the database. If you choose to sign in, the cookie also carries a verified account session. Google provides hosting, file storage and optional account authentication. Knarb Makes stores your buyer identifier and checkout email, saved cart, order details, payment references, accepted license version, and support requests to operate the store. Where Stripe collects a billing address at checkout, we also keep the country, province or state, and postal code from that address, together with the tax charged. These are used to meet sales-tax obligations and are not used for marketing or advertising. Stripe processes payment information on its hosted checkout. Knarb Makes does not store card numbers. Contact Knarb Makes to request access to or deletion of account information; transaction records may need to be retained.

The contact form stores your email and message privately and emails them to Knarb Makes through Google’s email service so we can respond. Your contact email is not added to a marketing list. Request identifiers and limited rate-limit records help prevent duplicate messages and abuse.
