Tree segments: the fit is loose on purpose, so pieces push together on any printer; lock each joint with glue or a soldering iron on the collar (220–250 °C, ventilate). The tree plates are new in v2 and their first test print is in progress.
Pine boughs thread onto a round toothpick or 16–18 gauge wire (2.4 mm eyelet); a drop of glue holds them on wire.
Print each plate flat as supplied: no supports, no brim. PLA, 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.20 mm first layer, 0.12–0.16 mm layers. Go slow on the first layer: the web holding the parts is one layer thick.
Snip each part’s two small clip necks flush. Every part is also included as its own STL, and Pick Your Parts 3MF files keep the plate layout without the web.
The 170 mm square plates were test printed and printed well. The 240 mm round plates are digitally checked but not yet test printed.
Print times are from a conservative reference slice (0.12 mm layers, 100% infill); 0.16 mm layers print noticeably faster.
Painted examples show the finished diorama. Foam terrain, grass, foliage clumps, the house shell and the cow are not part of these files.

About this kit
Seven fern varieties in left/right pairs, climbing ivy, fir sprays and a threadable pine, plus printable tree segments you chain together into your own tree armature. Each trunk and branch piece prints flat as two halves on a tiny hinge: fold it shut, push the pieces together, then lock the joints with glue or a quick touch of a soldering iron. Strong printed trees you can shape however you like.
