Tack strips down with hot glue; a heat gun lets you nudge them later. Melting and distressing a few slates with heat adds wear: ventilate and wear a respirator.
Print each plate flat as supplied: no supports, no brim. PLA, 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.20 mm first layer, 0.12–0.16 mm layers. Go slow on the first layer: the web holding the parts is one layer thick.
Snip each part’s two small clip necks flush. Every part is also included as its own STL, and Pick Your Parts 3MF files keep the plate layout without the web.
The 170 mm square plates were test printed and printed well. The 240 mm round plates are digitally checked but not yet test printed.
Print times are from a conservative reference slice (0.12 mm layers, 100% infill); 0.16 mm layers print noticeably faster.
Painted examples show the finished diorama. Foam terrain, grass, foliage clumps, the house shell and the cow are not part of these files.

About this kit
Slate roofing strips in eight lengths (about 23–100 mm) with 12 mm courses. Every slate varies a little in width, edge, chips, thickness and grain, and rows mix lengths, so a roof never looks stamped. The clip necks sit on the hidden overlap edge.
